Brazilian women in the UFC
Brazil supplies the largest women's contingent on the roster after the United States, and it does so with the same technical identity that defined the country in the men's divisions: jiu-jitsu as the starting point and striking as a layer added later.
That foundation shows in the depth of the group. Virna Jandiroba built her career on constant-pressure grappling; Natália Silva represents the opposite evolution, with a kicking and movement game that takes her far from the stereotype of the Brazilian school.
The difference from other countries is one of volume: Brazil does not supply one or two standout fighters but a group large enough to be present in every active women's division.
