About Iasmin Lucindo
Youth, power and a temporarily interrupted path
Iasmin Lucindo made her UFC debut at just 20 and was quickly considered one of the brightest prospects in Brazilian women's MMA. After losing her debut to Yazmin Jauregui, she began stringing together wins and progressed to facing established names at strawweight.
Fighting style
Lucindo combines considerable physical strength with pressure, grappling and striking that is still evolving. Her youth has always been a big part of her value as a prospect: she managed to compete within the rankings at a stage when many fighters are only just starting their professional careers.
The suspension
In 2025 she lost to Amanda Lemos but then beat Angela Hill. Her progress was then halted after she tested positive for mesterolone in an out-of-competition test. The anti-doping investigation concluded there was no indication of intentional use to enhance performance, and Lucindo received a nine-month suspension that ended on June 24, 2026.
