How women's bantamweight is fought

Women's bantamweight was the UFC's first women's division and for years it was the only one, absorbing fighters of very different sizes because there was nowhere else for them to compete.

The later creation of flyweight and strawweight redistributed that talent, and the division has since gone through a constant renewal that has brought in fighters from other promotions and other combat sports.

It is also the women's division where power matters most, which produces a higher share of finishes than the rest. In Elo terms, that translates into bigger moves per fight than in the lighter weight classes.
