In just a few years, Ailín Pérez has gone from a relatively unknown addition to one of the emerging figures in women's bantamweight. After losing her UFC debut to Stephanie Egger, the Argentine began stringing together wins while building a particularly recognizable public persona.
Fighting style
Her success is built fundamentally on physical pressure and wrestling. Pérez constantly looks to close distance, take opponents down and control from top positions. She has steadily improved her ability to do damage from those positions, turning a style initially based on control into an increasingly dangerous offensive threat.
