About Manon Fiorot
The French karateka who reached Shevchenko
Manon Fiorot arrived in the UFC in 2021 and was marked as a future title contender almost from her first appearances. Her size for flyweight, her karate and kickboxing experience and her ability to sustain high striking volume set her apart immediately from many opponents in the division.
Fighting style
The Frenchwoman works especially well from long range. She uses straight strikes, kicks and lateral movement to keep opponents out of position, while her physical strength makes it hard for them to impose their grappling consistently. Over the years she also developed an excellent ability to manage tactical fights over three and five rounds.
Title shot and after
Fiorot beat names like Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield in succession to finally earn a title shot against Valentina Shevchenko in 2025, although she could not dethrone her. She responded by quickly knocking out Jasmine Jasudavicius. In September 2026 she lost by decision to Alexa Grasso.
