About Henry Cejudo

The Olympian who retired twice

Henry Cejudo came to MMA as a legend of another sport: Olympic freestyle wrestling champion at Beijing 2008 at just 21, the youngest American ever to do so. In the UFC he became 'Triple C' by winning the flyweight and bantamweight titles, and he closed his career in December 2025 with a decision loss to young Payton Talbott, announcing his retirement in the Octagon.

Fighting style

His Olympic wrestling base, fused with fast boxing and unusual angle management, made him a dominant champion in two different divisions, something only a handful of fighters have achieved in UFC history.

After MMA

Weeks after his retirement, Cejudo signed to compete in professional wrestling with the Real American Freestyle promotion, terrain he knows better than anyone. His legacy as an Olympic and UFC double champion keeps him one of the most respected figures in the sport, even away from mixed martial arts competition.
