About Cortney Casey
A veteran built around volume
Cortney Casey came to MMA after playing college soccer and went on to build a long career between strawweight and flyweight in the UFC.
Fighting style
Casey mainly used her length and volume to keep exchanges going, but she also had a dangerous jiu-jitsu game. All her submission wins came by rear-naked choke or armbar, while several of her stand-up fights ended in very close decisions.
Her UFC run
For years she faced names like Cláudia Gadelha, Angela Hill, Michelle Waterson, Cynthia Calvillo and Gillian Robertson. Her last appearance came in 2022 against Antonina Shevchenko, after more than seven years in the UFC's women's divisions.
