About Ashley Yoder
Jiu-jitsu and a decade facing strawweight's depth
Ashley Yoder reached the UFC after taking part in The Ultimate Fighter and remained a regular presence at strawweight for years.
Fighting style
Her best tool was always grappling. Yoder looked for takedowns, back positions and submission chances, using functional striking to try to get fights into those situations.
Her UFC run
Her career was full of very close decisions and long stretches without continuity. She shared the Octagon with names like Mackenzie Dern, Angela Hill, Lívia Souza and Emily Ducote, during a period in which strawweight quickly evolved from a new division into one of the deepest women's divisions.
